1. How do I Register with the Help
Desk? Registering with the XSitePro Helpdesk is a very straightforward process. All you need to do is
follow this link, then fill out your name, e-mail address and chosen password, in
the page that appears.
Once you've done that, you'll be able to access the support ticket system whenever you like,
simply by logging in. The reason you need to log in each time is so that you can see a 'history' of the tickets you
have opened, along with the responses from the XSitePro support team.

2. Can't I just e-mail the support department
directly? Unfortunately, due to the thousands of spam messages support systems like ours get sent every
day, and the negative impact that this can have on our ability to effectively serve our customers' support needs,
we only accept ticket posts via the support web pages themselves.

3. I'm sending e-mails to you, but don't seem to
be getting any reply. Why is that? If you find you are not receiving responses to your tickets,
submitted via the ticket system, chances are you're using a free (or web-based) e-mail service such as
Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo or similar. These mail services are notorious when it comes to non-deliverability and are the
most likely cause of your not having received a reply.
Another step you can take to ensure deliverability is to "white-list" e-mails from the
domain "xsitepro.com". That way, our messages have a better chance of getting through to you.
If none of the above helps, head over to the forum (details of which are below) and "Private
Message" (PM) one of the XSitePro staff (you'll find our details all over the board). We'll be right back to you
with assistance.

5. How do I register with the XSitePro
Forum? Registering with the XSitePro Forum is easy. Just head over to the Forum (link above) and click
the "Register" link in the top-left corner of the screen, just below the XSitePro logo. You'll then be asked to
agree to our terms of use, and finally for a few pieces of information - just fill out the boxes provided and then
click the "submit" button at the bottom of the page.
Once you've signed up, you'll be able to post your questions, comments and requests in the
forum, and participate in one of the most lively web-design / Internet Marketing forums on the 'net. You'll
also find that the forum is a great place to get support with setting up and running your Internet business, no
matter what the subject/niche of your site.

6. Where can I find the XSitePro Knowledgebase? The
XSitePro Knowledgebase is a fabulous resource where you can find answers to a massive range of
questions relating to using the XSitePro software.
The Knowledgebase is part of the XSitePro Support Desk, and can be accessed by
clicking this link. Once there, you can search for, browse through and read hundreds and
hundreds of topics.

7. Is my installation of XSitePro up-to-date? If
you have downloaded XSitePro on or after the 9th September 2008, then you'll already be on the first major
point-release of XSitePro Version 2 (so you'll be using 2.1 already). There are occasionally minor updates
released, as well, and these can be downloaded from the XSitePro Forum at this thread.

8. Where can I find tutorial videos for XSitePro? We
have a whole series of professionally produced tutorial videos, all aimed at making your experience using XSitePro
an absolute breeze! The videos are not only useful for helping you to get started with a feature, they are fabulous
for making you aware of cool things you can do with the software that you might not already be aware of - and that
will save you oodles of time! All you need to do is follow this link.

9. Is it worth doing the Tutorial, or should I just get started on a
site?
The Tutorial is a 'must-do' exercise. Simply put, it will shortcut the learning process dramatically by giving you
hands-on experience of building a site without the frustrations of not knowing what to do next.
It might seem a bit like "study" or homework, but it's a very worthwhile up-front investment
of your time, and will pay dividends over the mid-to-long-term.
10. What do I enter in the Publishing details
tab? The Publishing Details tab is where you enter the FTP details relating to your Web space. These
details will have been provided to you by your Web host when you set up your account. The address will look
something like this:
ftp.yourdomainname.com
You will also have been issued with a username and password that corresponds to this
FTP address, too.
All you need to do is enter that information, just the once, into the Publishing Details
tab, in your XSitePro site, and that's it! XSitePro stores this information for you so that you don't need to
remember these settings for each of your sites. All you'll need to do is hit one button, when editing your site(s)
and the publishing process will start automatically.

11. I'm getting an application error when I try and run
XSitePro, why? Here are some common reasons why this might be happening:
Your Windows installation may be out-of date. Run a Windows Update (you can do this
from your start-menu, in Windows) to make sure you are right up-to-date.
You may be running an old version of XSitePro. Check you are running the
latest version of XSitePro by visiting the update Forum thread, and downloading (and installing) the latest XSitePro update.
You specified your "Program Files" directory (or a sub-directory thereof) for the
location of your XSitePro-Data folder, when installing XSitePro. The Program Folder in Windows is often 'protected'
and installing the XSitePro-Data folder into it may render it inaccessible. You should ideally accept the default
XSitePro-Data location (in your 'My Documents' folder) when installing XSitePro to be sure of trouble-free
operation.

12. Can I install my copy of XSitePro on a second
PC? Yes you can. XSitePro can be installed on two separate PCs under the same license on the agreement
that you only ever use one copy at a time. If you require additional installations, you may purchase additional
seats from us - submit a pre-sales enquiry for more information on additional
seats.

13. Where can I see Tutorial video's for
XSitePro? There are currently no tutorial videos for the new release of XSitePro, however you may find
plenty of resources at the XSitePro Forum about using the application and even videos created by other XSitePro
users. We will be releasing a series of short instructional videos in the very near future, so do check
back.

14. Where do I get the extra clipart and templates
from? When you purchased XSitePro you became eligible to download the full Resources Pack (full of
Clipart, Templates and more) along with a 'bonus template pack'. All of these Resources can be accessed from the
bonus downloads page.

15. How do I update my version of Microsoft
.Net? Microsoft's ".Net" application (which is part of Windows) must be up-to-date to run XSitePro
smoothly. To ensure you're using the latest version of .Net, head over to the Microsoft .Net download page, and download (and install) the latest version.

16. Can I edit a site I have made in Frontpage/Dreamweaver in
XSitePro? That depends on how complicated the pages are. If the pages are simple HTML pages (without
much in the way of menus) then chances are they'll be able to be imported using the in-built "Import Pages" tool.
If, however, they have more complex layouts then you are probably best redesigning the site in XSitePro from
scratch, and just copying and pasting the text.

17. How do I back-up my Web sites? Backing up your
sites is an essential habit you need to get into, right from the get-go. The Forum is full of plenty of people who
forgot to carry out this basic step to protect all their hard work, and it would be a shame for you to follow
suit!
To back up your Web sites, either select the "Backup/Restore" option within the "Tools"
menu, in XSitePro, or choose the "Backup my sites now" option when it is offered to you when you load XSitePro (and
after you haven't backed up for a while - an automated reminder feature that will initially appear after two weeks
have passed, without a backup taking place).
Don't forget to archive your backup(s) on a different physical disk-drive to the one you've
installed XSitePro onto - that way, if your hard-drive fails you'll still be ok.
