Hi All,

Having trouble with text within tables. Hitting the 'enter' key moves the cursor by 2 lines. How do I change this so that 'enter' key moves cursor to 1 line down?

Thanks.

Hi Rob,

Try pressing Shift+Enter to get a single space.

Thanks Jason. That fixed it. Is there any reason why the default is set to 2 lines on pressing the 'enter' key?

cheers,

Rob

That's just standard for most software.

As Jason said, this spacing is standard for most software.
When you press Enter in XSite Pro, a paragraph break tag </p> is inserted into the source code.
The spacing includes whatever paragragh margin(s) are set for paragraphs in the browser defaults and/or in the CSS.

Shift/Enter inserts a line break <br> tag.

You can adjust the paragraph spacing with some custom CSS.

Thanks CopyWolf. Basic stuff when you know how. Coming from a novice like myself I guess I'm expecting text within a table to behave like a normal word document.

Thanks again.

cheers,

Rob

You're welcome, Rob. We were all novices at one time. I already knew a lot about HTML coding but the members of this board helped me learn how to get the most out of XSite Pro.

BTW, Microsoft Word also puts in a paragraph break. And in Word you can also use the shift/enter key combo to leave out the paragraph break.

Hi CopyWolf,

I was looking at your impressive websites and was wondering if you could enlighten me on video converter software. I am wanting to add videos to my website but not sure on why and what is needed to do this.

Do you recommend any particular software?

cheers,

Those websites belong to ablewebs, Jason and ShopXSitePro. I'm listing them to provide visitors with links to known reliable XSite Pro template developers.

XSite Pro has a built-in Video Wizard that will convert the most popular video formats to flv and insert the videos into your web page.

Hi Rob,

Checkout video #7 for a tutorial on how to add video to your XSitePro website.

Thanks CopyWolf and Jason. I have watched the video tutorial and taken a test video on my canon digital camera. downloaded to my computer and loaded into webpage in XSP. When I go to 'preview' mode or hit the 'generate and preview' button at step 5,I only get the little rotating clock on the video screen - ie no video even after allowing for it to load. Is this because I have not yet published my website? Also the video file ends in .mov
Is this an acceptable file?
I also downloaded the codec files recommended at step 5 on adding a video and did not have the video open elsewhere.

cheers,

Rob
