A warm hello from Japan. I am excited by what I am seeing and in the use of the new Xsiteprov2.5. I am used to working in dreamweaver and have been looking at other branded software. As your video says , slow steps thought out will give the best results.

I need some help with a few issues;
1. Can you give ne a code for the icin and where do I insert it?
2. I appear not to be able to use any flash programmes in your software. I have looked at the video and contacted software vendoes whom inform me that I need too insert the script code.

my script is:
<script language="javascript"> document.write('<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9.0.0.0" width="502" height="236" ID="swf" VIEWASTEXT>'); document.write(' <param name="movie" value="http://www.jekan.org/public_html/video/Gallery.swf" />'); document.write(' <param name="quality" value="high" />'); document.write(' <param name="wmode" value="window" />'); document.write(' <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" />'); document.write(' <param name="allowFullScreen" value="True" />'); document.write(' <embed src=http://www.flash-slide-show.com/demo.swf quality="high" name="sf" allowScriptAccess="always" allowFullScreen="true" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="502" height="236"></embed>'); document.write('</object>'); & lt;/script>

I wish to insert the slide show in the main panel header. I am unable to find out how to do this as your advanced script dialogue appears not to allow me to place the script where I want it on the page design. I fully understand that I am proberbly doing some very stupid but after several hours I am feeling a tad frayed...smile.

My next issue is the gallery insert is a cool ,but limited ,function. Is there any way for the instructions to say what size the pictures need to be to work and is there any way of editing the pictures to teh correct size as they appear to be frozen. Or do you have to edit each picture individually, which will be a serious pain if that is the case. The instructions need to be more exact for people like me to follow..smile.

My last point, is there an undo button? IN my playing with the software to learn it , I have inserted videos and files to see what happens. I deleted them but on upload found that every file used was uploaded..shock! Including some very big video files I use in my teaching.

I am looking for ward to a long and fruitful relationship..Many thanks for your help and ideas in advance.
with respect
Je Kan

Hi, Je Kan,

1. What is an "icin"? Do you mean "icon"? If so, what icon do you want to insert? Or are you talking about images in general?

2. For Flash, you would add the code in the Source view, not in the Design view.

3. The Photo Gallery is pretty basic in XSitePro. I always create my own thumbnails, instead of letting XSitePro create them, as the quality is far superior that way. And, of course, you should prepare (re-size and optimize) all your images first in an image editor like Photoshop. Never re-size images in XSitePro (or Dreamweaver) as these programs don't actually remove any pixels, they just make the image LOOK smaller! You have to remove pixels to actually change the file size and improve load time.

4. Yes, there is an undo button (backwards arrow) on the menu, but I'm afraid it is quite limited in XSitePro, due to the WYSIWYG editor they are using (PinEdit). Make sure to save your work regularly and Export your site regularly. Note: The undo button is only available in the Design view, not the Source view.

Many thanks for your highly professional and informative reply. Yes, I was looking for the place to insert my icon code which is my webpages tag picture.
I have some really cool software which creates slideshows the final output files gives all the files need to run it on a webpage. I have not been able to insert flash *.swf or swf sucessfully in xsite Pro, which is a little frustrating. I shall read your comments with more detailed attention, try as you suggest and get back to you.
Once again, thank you, impressive support!
