Hi Guys, not been here for a while so I hope you are all OK :)

Just noticed a problem with chrome not showing headers

Look at this site - http://www.xsiteprotemplates.net/demo/reviews/Workout-Guides-Reviews/

it looks fine on FF and IE but the header will not show up in Chrome for some reason, any ideas would be good

thanks in advance

Cap;)

This is curious as the header images don't display in Chrome on my computer, either.

Chrome will display the image if the complete path is entered:
http://www.xsiteprotemplates.net/demo/reviews/Workout-Guides-Reviews/images/workout-guide-review-header1.jpg

You may need to put the full path in the code to get it to work in Chrome:

Code:
<td style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(http://www.xsiteprotemplates.net/demo/reviews/Workout-Guides-Reviews/images/workout-guide-review-header1.jpg); BACKGROUND-REPEAT: no-repeat; HEIGHT: 119px"
                valign="top"
                align="left">
</td>

This shouldn't affect anything in FF or IE.

BTW, the site has the same issue in Safari.

Thanks M8 - odd as I have a few sites that have this issue so hopefully this will fix it

Will let you know

thanks again

EDIT: Wasn't that, I should have known, it was the old &nbsp; , for chrome you need the space to get cells to show. thanks anyway ;)

i also found this problem with chrome.

You may see the "Aw, Snap!" message if a webpage crashes unexpectedly.

Then the solutions is simple like

If a webpage crashes unexpectedly, you can simply reload the page. If you're seeing the "Aw, Snap!" message for every page you visit, try the solutions below:

Hi,

I have not been really building sites to accomodate Chrome and I really don't want to.

Exactly - Chrome seems to be the flakiest of all as far as alignment and the use of tables. It's not fun trying to get all the browsers to work properly, sometimes you just have to 'come close' as it's way too demanding to please them all...

Another thing Chrome and Safari don't like is the <p></p> tag around the [LINKS_MENU] in your Info Bar. It will push the menu open too much. Wrap it in a <div></div> tag instead. Note: Chrome and Safari seem to be working the same way, so fixing Chrome issues should fix Safari ones, too.

Code:
<div id="menuBar">[LINKS_MENU]</div>
The id doesn't need to exist in your CSS; it's just good coding practice to put an id in a div tag.

Not in all circumstances, no. The Mobile Safari browser requires 3 clicks on each link in the Navigation Menus of any XSitePro website. I wish that is something that could be solved, as it makes most mobile versions of our websites unusable.

Wow - I just checked on my iPhone and it seems the Mobile Safari browser now works fine with XSitePro menus. Good news as Apple must have finally changed something.
