I know that it's good to age your website and continually make it grow. But i just wanted to check and make sure.

So is it better to go ahead and publish my website with just the basic must-have content, even if it offers little value to the viewer? Or should I wait until it's a large valuable website to publish it?

I would publish it as soon as it's decent quality.
It'll take time for a new site to get ranked, so
you won't have to worry too much about your
content sucking balls (no one is going to see it).

In addition to the benefit of ageing, a competitor
can't hurt your site by spamming inbound links.
(Not sure but spammy links might hurt a new
site, where as they can't harm an old one.)
