I am a past/converted FrontPage user. One thing that I LOVED in the FP editor was that I could put my cursor at a point in design view, go to the source layout, and my cursor was at the same point. If I wanted to insert some code after a paragraph I would put my cursor after the paragraph, go to code view, and paste the code.

In XSP I have to scroll through the whole html file to find where to insert the code. Takes forever and I don't always get it in the right spot. So, I copy the code to FP, make my edits, copy it all, and replace it in XSP. It's a workaround but takes time and I want to convert strictly to XSP. Please consider this upgrade!!

Also, unless I'm overlooking the Undo buffer in some setting, my Undo only works twice I think. Sometimes I get to clicking around trying different things and then can't undo it. Please consider adding a setting for Undo bugger size and the number of Undos you can do.

XSP ROCKS! Thanks!

I do this to know where I am in view:

In the Design tab, I type ten X letters in capital letter XXXXXXXXXX, then I go to the source tab, find the ten X letters, and that is where I place my new code, or change html manually.

Hope that helps you work faster in source tab.

Hi internetdominus,
your workaround is clever, but this is obviously NOT how things should need to be done!
FP was simply doing it the right way... 15 years ago.
(The more I use modern programs, the more things I find FP '98 was doing right and now are done...wrong).

I do second pdr081773's suggestion for better integration between design and source.

Also concerning UNDO, it is quite uncomfortable that SOURCE view has NO undo at all: whatever mess you make there, your only way out is quitting without saving... like in 1980, before UNDO was invented.

Even in Design view Undo has only erratic efficacy (doesn't seem to undo actions on images or tables, for instance).

Thank you all!
