Hi Wingman,

The site is coming along nicely!

Adding a slight shade of color to the background could help your site stand out more. ;) This is easily done via the Page Layout tab/Page Margins. And speaking of page margins... if you decide to stick with the border may I suggest you remove the 10px padding you added to the top and the bottom of the site.

Try this and let know what you think.

Hi all

An Xsitepro newbie here. Just finished my first ever Xsitepro website, and I'd very much appreciate any comments or suggestions for improvement.

http://www.cd-dj.net

I'm enjoying the software and I'm looking forward to seeing what V 2.5 brings. It is a breath of fresh air after struggling with Dreamweaver!

Hi,

Content is fine, but white on black never does anything for me, in fact I cannot, and will not stay on a page designed that way... (I'm nearly 50, so maybe that matters :P ) .... if you change color schemes let me know!

A couple of Xsite pro sites you might want to check out...

http://www.rolfer.com.au/
http://www.aussiegroupsecurity.com.au
http://www.homesecuritybrisbane.com
http://www.ultimatecfdtradingsystem.com

XSP is fantastic and I can't wait till V2.5 goes live as I love
some of the new features they have included in that package.

I wanted to kindly ask you about my newly created design for

http://aquazeppelin.com

Any hints or comments? If nothing comes from here, I guess that I could go with it and just add more content etc.

If you quickly have a look at it: Thank you very much in advance!

Wish you all the best and success in your endeavours!

Kindest Regards,

André

Site looks really basic and you can definitely make some improvements with your
header design.

You are also using fairly large font on your main pages which doesn't appeal to me
but may to others.

Your title tag seems to have quite a bit of information in there and your keyword
tag (not overly important and of zero importance to google) is a little crowded too.
You may want to create all your pages to focus on 1-3 keywords only. Don't put
too many in there. This is a very minor point so don't get too concerned about this one.

Most of your pages have writing of no more than 150-200 words and if you are to
be considered an authority in your field (which google loves) then you'll need to fill
each page with a min of 400 words per page with each page being keyword focused.
Ideally you'll want to create pages of 600-1000 words so google knows you are an
authority.

Keep up the good work.

Ash.

Ash,

I was able to check out your websites. They look nice. I prefer a few small design differences, but they are fairly nice sites. I've been testing the new v.2.5 BETA also... and yeah it will be nice when it comes out to the main stream.

Here's an image of my website. I would appreciate any feedback you may have.

I haven't gotten to adding the video.. . so that's my bad. But feel free to give any advice you want - no holds bar. It's a free for all to pick on my website design skills (or lack thereof).

Hi Jeremy

Pretty good design overall. I take it you are still building
your site but a couple of things I notice.

Header looks good and is fairly simple which works well. I have
noticed that many websites in this niche tend to have a basic
header so that works well.

Your content is pretty light on but I guess you are working on
it.

Yahoo site explorer says you have 86 pages and 15 inlinks. If
you are competing in the internet marketing field you should
really build those inlinks up to more than 200.

Also many of the pages you are looking to create with no content
just yet are targeting really major keywords. Given your niche
and how competitive it is you might be better off going for long
tail first and then work your way up.

Take for example this page...
http://townsendcreations.com/books.html

You have 5 books listed with no additional information. Did these
books influence you or are you just after an amazon clip? you
are adding no value there that I can see.

Consider something that I did with one of my sites in regards to
amazon books:
http://www.learncfds.com/Trading-Books.html

You will notice that every page has solid content around that
particular set of keywords. Even my amazon widget has my
addition to guide the reader to how it might help them.

Your http://townsendcreations.com/products.html page is no
different. I have the kodak zi8, tripod and mike but you don't
suggest why you think the brilliant zi8 is of value.

I can see that you are still in development and I am definitely not
a guru but since you asked...that is my 2 cents.

Look forward to seeing up coming developments.

Ash.

Ash,

You and I are on EXACTLY the same page. Yep - I 'm planning on doing all the things you mentioned. I just finished shooting initial video for all the pages and hope to have it up soon.

My niche isn't internet marketing for just anyone... but mostly local, small town USA, businesses. I hope I can do as well as you have with your product pages. I have a similar plan.

I'll drop a post here on the forums when I get it all up.

Great, love to see it. If 'local' is your market - you should focus more on that, as I don't get that feel from your site, rather that you're after Global markets, perhaps a little 'realignment with message' would help?

I'll have to work on that.

The term "local" is not intended to mean just within a 100 mile radius of my location. I work with small businesses worldwide. But try to define small business? According to the US Government it's any business makeing less than 5 million per year. Some of my clients make more than that.

I think the confusion is about how to define my client base, and yet not exclude potential customers.

I predominantly work with 1 store companies, aka main street businesses, aka local businesses, etc. If you have an idea on how I can better communicate that, I'd be glad to hear your advice. I'm sure I don't have the perfect approach.

I think you're trying to include them all, so do that, or just define it as 'small business', with sales under 5M.

Unfortunately Brett, a number of my clients make over $5 Million a year... which disqualify them for the "small business" designation as per the federal Government. However these businesses are also basically "1 store shops", thereby qualifying them for my main niche of "Main Street Business".

I also have to add that 50% or more of my clients are not located within driving distance to me... and about 15% aren't even on the same continent. But they still qualify for my niche market based on the idea of a 1 store business.

Yeah - clear as mud. If you got any ideas on how to make that clearer - let me know. I've really struggled with the concept.

Finally after weeks of trying to get everything done (not as much as I would like still)

I have redone my main site and the demo templates.

The response from my subscribers has been great so that is good.

Have a look
