Alexis.
Wow. That's a nice site for a first try. Heck - That's a nice sire for a 3rd or 4th try.
Here are a few more ideas for you... Please take them in the well intentioned manner they are meant.
1) the colors all blend nicely, BUT the nav bar page names disappear when you click on one. I'd change that.
2) Since you are putting together a photography site, I would have a high use of your images... and a rotating banner or slide show if possible to show off all your good work.
3) You lay out what you do in a very logical no-nonsense fashion... but it doesn't capture the magic of excellent photography. I would try re-writing your page content to tell a story, wrapping your website visitors into the unique experience they have with you.
4) I don't know what's up with the picture of Jesus... but that may turn some people off for religious reasons. Not many people know what the word "Iconography" means. Not everyone's gone to art school and had to sit through art history lessons. I would try to communicate this section of your website better... and get the link to work.
5) Your footer has the wrong background color. it appears to be using #411414 but may be better with #321E0F or even #6B5120
6) dark backgrounds with light lettering is always difficult to read and statistically lessens your reads comprehension of content. I would try to use the standard black text on white background or even an off-white background.
7) There are always options for adding email auto-responders and regularly updated articles. The idea is having new fresh content to keep them coming back to you. Your website might become stagnant if you don't find a way to do this.
8.) Clearly display your contact info in your header. I and everyone I know hates having to hunt for contact info.
There's always something more you can try - these are some of the ideas I suggest to all my clients. (send me a PM if you have questions)
