I setup a search function and natually XSitePro would upload idx for searching.

However, when I upload my normal files, XSP DELETES all my IDX files.

In my next uploading of my new normal files, XSP re-uploads all my IDX files.

Then, my next uploading of my new normal files, XSP DELETES all my IDX files again!

Then, my next uploading of my new normal files, XSP re-uploads all my IDX files again!

It's strange. Why is that so?

I always "watch" the upload and noticed this too.

Afterwards I check the search facility and it worked fine.

I think what happenes is that it uploads new files then deletes the redundant ones and you see that in the very last report at the end of the upload.

If I am wrong it would be a worry so can you.......

.........next time you think it has deleted check your search facility on the live site and report back here and to tech support if it has actually removed them completely.

Closest thread I can find for this problem but sure there are more.

So why do I correct one thing on one page and the search facility falls over?

My quickish cure is to alter the search box size by one pixel. Crude but effective and I'm pretty quick at it after all the practice but getting very tired of it after all these years. Thankfully, I only have one website left that uses Xsite.
