XSitePro Website Design Software Message Board

Hi

I would like to integrate external features such as a support ticket system, forums or blogs into my xsite-pro website. How do I do it so that it fits into my main panel and retain the header, left and right panels, etc.

When using "Add -> External Link" from the "Webpages Design" tab it just puts the link into the navigation menue and navigate completely away from the webpage that I am working on.

One easy way to do this, is by using IFRAME command.
Plenty of how-to out there on this, but in essence, you can just display an HTML "frame" in your main panel (so within your page layout design) that itself loads an external web-page...

So long as you get your dimensions right (looks a bit bad if you have to scroll within that frame to see content) it can look fine.

This would be the same whether you are using XSP or Dreamweaver. Your blog, ticket system, etc. are separate, third party applications.

A common solution is to create a header and maybe a footer for your blog, etc. that matches your XSP Web site.
