Hi all,

I have obtained a pre bought php website, which I would prefer to strip down and put up using my xsitepro, this way I can rewrite all the content and have better control over the site.

Does anyone know of an easy way of achieving this.

You're really talking apples and oranges here. A true PHP website works very differently than an HTML website.

PHP executes on the server and sends the results to the browser on the local computer/device to be rendered/displayed.

With HTML, the server sends the HTML page to the browser on the local computer/device to be rendered/displayed.

That being said, I'm not a PHP expert. Someone else here may know a way to convert PHP to XSite Pro.

Thanks copywolf, sounds complicated to me, I think I will just design a complete new site using xsitepro.

Regards

Why not just use your php website? If it is going to be a large website, I would suggest sticking with it. In the long run, it will save you many headaches.

Hi jman,

I am quite happy to do that, but I wanted to rewrite the content first. Trying to copy the content without damaging the code is quite difficult as the articles are spaced out between videos and banners etc. Was just trying to find an easy way really.

Many thanks

Hi guys since the topic on php cropped up I'd like to know if anyone can help here.
The form wizard "submit button". Say I'm not using any of the pay service to harness my incoming emails from this button, how can I use the redirect email which my hosting service does support php.

I have think of a solution to the problem I posted. I am using Mailchimp for the work around but haven't tested. Take a look www.assetomatic.com and you'll know what I mean.
TIA
