Hi

I want to put a couple of links in my keyword-rich H2 text (top of page) and then link them to pictures further down on that same page. I don't want to create text-anchors.

It's a long page with a lot of text and images... I hope both visitors and Google will appreciate this kind of navigation, and that it will perhaps increase the chances of my site showing up in Googles image search.
I tried to right-click on an image and then insert anchor but then my picture disappeared.

Any easy way to do this? Thanks

Thanks Jason.

I already create anchors that way but isn't it possible to link to an image (so that the anchor is the image)?

Hi Mike,

Right click on the image and choose Insert Link --> Other and type in the #anchor-name for the link

Thanks again Jason, but I don't want the picture to be the "link" I click on, I want it to be the anchor.

I guess it is an unusual request... I got a normal text-link at the top of my page and when I click that I want to jump to the picture further down on the page.
I could place an anchor in the text right next to the picture but I want the picture to be the anchor - the question is if that is possible without too much code...

In the Source view, you can manually wrap the anchor around an image, like this:
Code:
<a name="myanchortext"><img title="" border="0" alt="" src="images/anchor.jpg"></a>

I would just put the anchor next to the image.

Thank you so much Andrea! It works perfectly :D

Jason, normally I would do that too but I thought since it's a picture I'm linking to, then why not link to the picture - if I delete the text around the picture I will still have my anchor.

Have a nice day to both of you
