I've greatly scaled back my online efforts, but I had this one in the works and went ahead and put it up. It's still a work in progress - in fact I've just noticed some small alignment issues which I'll address - but I'm fairly happy with the overall look.

If you're wondering why I haven't used one of XSP's dynamic menus in the left column, I thought doing it this way would suggest a lot of available content. I'm not sure it was the right idea but I do like the look.

Future plans include scaling down the size of the logo - it's a bit big as it is - and then I have space to the left and right of the logo which I could exploit for ads or ???

Nice first effort, and congrats on your marriage.

Make your Main Panel background WHITE - then play around with the font size and colour. Black text on white works best and max size 10 for verdana or 12 for some other fonts.

Those two alone will make a BIG improvement. Just coz you have your hands on loads of cool tools and widgets doesnt mean you have to use them - clear simple sites are easiest to read and that means black on white in most cases.

Then...........add an H1 Tag to every page!

Then............. come back for the next installment
