I agree. With XSitePro you're only limited by your imagination!

They really are great sites I would never have believed you could do that with Xsite. One I really like is the http://eqroyal.com. If you have time how did you do the box at the top with the wording “Now Your Horse Can Naturally” I like the way the wording runs on to the picture and the classy boarder. Work of art

Thanks Brain! Really appreciate the nice compliment.

Quick easy way to do this is to first...

- create a table with some padding (I choose 5px for padding) and then choose a color for your table's background.
- next step is to add another table inside your first table and add a background picture to this table - this way you can write over the image like I did.

TIP: When creating tables XSitePro makes it super easy to modify them. Just right-click inside your table and choose table properties. There you can do all sorts of things like adding padding and background images.

Hope that helps.

Thank again!

I add the table within the table, then go to "Table Properties" Style, background image, but no matter what I put in the image placement I cannot get an image to load. Tried copying image address from my hard drive and a url from another site. Help.
Thanks for your time
Brian

Hi Brian,

When you add the background image you need to make sure you specify that your image file is in the 'images' folder, because by default that's where XSitePro puts your images.

So in the table properties, under the style tab, in the image field you would add something like this: images/imagename.jpg

Hope that helps.

Hey Patrick,

Really nice websites!

I was wondering how you did the info bar for this website: http://endurafuel.com
As well as how you did the email opt-in form.

Thanks

Hey Rocker, thanks for the compliment. EnduraFuel.com turned out to be one of my favorite designs.

Now to get the infobar looking like that you first need to create the images in something like Photoshop. Once you got that you need to slice the individual images for each menu button/link.

I use XSitePro's native javascript code to create the links and image hover over effect. But for that to work you need to edit a file online (via FTP) once the site is uploaded.

It's more advanced stuff, but the end product looks great. (at least I think so).

BTW... this stuff works well when you know in advance what the links will be, because it's not like you can just add and or remove links in the infobar like you normally would in XSitePro.

There are lots of ways to create menus for websites. You're not limited to just using only XSitePro's menus, but XSitePro does make managing menu links super easy - especially for sites with lots of pages.

As for the opt-in... well it's just a matter of creating an image which you then add as a background to a table. Then inside that table you can add your opt-in code and it will appear over it. Of course then you have to play around with it to position it correctly. I personally like to put code in <div> </div> tags because XSitePro makes it easy to position these tags.

Now I may or may not be making much sense to you and sorry if that's the case.

Let me know and maybe I can put together a video to show you what you want to know.

Let me know.

Have fun!

Thank you John.

Here's another interesting design that I did a while back : http://altituderx.com

Click the right menu links to see how every page has a unique header! And how about them hover buttons at the top of the right menu? Pretty cool. I think!

Thanks for explaining that! Can you just tell me a little bit more about what file you need to edit and why? Thanks
