I am new here and would like to greet everyone in this forum

I need your help. I have been trying to follow the training video on Adding a New Website.

1. My templates are different from the video templates and this makes it hard
for me to choose the right templates in order to follow along.

2. Once I have chosen a template of choice in order to follow the presenter,
run into problems with the Html for the bars under the Page Layout context.

When I click on the Designer button in the Panel Design, I get a script error on
Html editor. I get the following message:

Script Editor

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 1
char: 24
Error: Expected ')'
Code: 0

URL: file:///C:/Program%20Files/XSitePro2/editor/pinEdit.html?
lng=EN&style=Office2003S&af=0&hm=1&me=0&hb=0&aa=0&dv
=1&ru=0&stb=0&um=0&trh=0&dr=1&rm=p&dow=750

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Yes/No

I have installed and reinstalled the program and the training pack for more that 5 times now.

I have even run the windows' regedit function to remove software and redownloaded the
training pack over and over again.

My System is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version. I use MS Office 2007 Student edition.

I am using Bullguard 12.0. 225 for my System's Antivirus program.

Plese, help me resolve these issues.

If you are getting this error with a default template of XSitePro's that you have added no scripts to, then perhaps you should report this to Intellimon customer support:
http://intellimon.helpserve.com/.

Hi ablewebs

I must quickly say that I only installed XSitePro 2.5 and downloaded the related Training Packs. Started the Program and followed the training videos, that is when I was met with this issue.

Thanks a lot for your response. I have followed your advice and sent my request for help from intellimon.helpserve.com/. I will patiently wait for their help.

Thanks a lot, once again, for your assistance.

Its me back, once again.

I seem not to get any pleasure with the XSitePro 2.5 editor. I still receive the same error problems.
I have uninstalled, edited the registry with a third party software which confirmed complet removal, after which I manually
edited the registry, to be double certain.

I then reinstalled XSitePro 2.5 using the administrator's privileges, as per Mr Ben Fleeson's advice, but to no avail.

I wonder if it is not my antivirus overarching the program?

Anyone with help please, do. I am getting very frustrated as it is now.

Try disabling your anti-virus and see if that helps. Have you done a thorough search on the forum for posts about similar issues (your particular virus software, etc.)?

Hi ablewebs

Thanks for your valuable assistance and help. I have since gotten rid of the Antivirus kit which cost me a pretty penny. Yesterday, I got the Advanced System Care with Antivirus 2013, but still have the same issues with the editor.

I wonder if there is a thread on the forums about the Script Editor errors?

Once again, thanks plenta for your help. Please, Keep it coming I appreciate all of it.

Thanks a lot.

Did you send the exact error message to Intellimon support? When the re-install didn't work, did Ben pass your ticket along to the developers?

Does this happen with every more than one of XSitePro's templates? Does it happen if you start with a BLANK template?

Thanks once again for your help. I wish I could say I did not send the exact error message, and that Ben Fleeson did not send my issue to the developers, though I could not confirm this fact, and that it happens with only one template, BUT, excuse my French, I did, and Ben told me he did and Yes, it happens with all the templates of XSitePro 2.5.

I wish this issue would go away and leave me alone to do my work in peace and quiet.

Thanks again, for your help.

Hi, Victor,

Does it happen with a BLANK template, too?

Do you have another computer you can install XSitePro on? It comes with two licenses. That way we can find out if it's the computer (OS, other applications, etc.) that's causing the issue.

I am thoroughly indebted to you for your tremendous help and determination. I would like to try doing that but I am not too sure this would be possible with a MackBookPro.

I am under the impression that XSitePro is only PC/Windows based, of which I am not double sure at this point in time. Could you advise me on this one?

XSitePro can be used on a Mac with Parallels running Windows. Before you try that, have you updated to the latest version of XSitePro? This is the latest beta version and it's very stable:
