One of two probable causes:
1. The DNS (Domain Name System) is not set up for the domain name in the registrar account. Meaning it's not pointing to the hosting account. (If this has been done very recently, like today, it's possible the DNS hasn't yet propagated over the Web.)
2. The Publishing Details are incorrect in XSitePro. See below...
Note: This tip shows the HostGator details (with a tip for other hosting accounts at the bottom). HostGator is a popular, easy-to-use hosting service recommended by several of us on the XSitePro forum. Other hosting services could be different. Use the details sent from your own hosting service! Example: the FTP Directory could be /httpdocs/ or could be left blank, etc.
Main Domain:
* Domain Name:
www.MainDomain.com* Home Directory: (leave this blank)
* FTP Server: ftp.MainDomain.com
* FTP Directory: /public_html/
* FTP Username: (from your web host email)
* FTP Password: (from your web host email)
Sub Domain:
* Domain Name: Subdomain.MainDomain.com
* Home Directory: (leave this blank)
* FTP Server: ftp.MainDomain.com
* FTP Directory: /public_html/SubDomain/
* FTP Username: (from your web host email)
* FTP Password: (from your web host email)
Addon Domain:
* Domain Name:
www.AddonDomain.com* Home Directory: (leave this blank)
* FTP Server: ftp.MainDomain.com
* FTP Directory: /public_html/AddonDomain/
* FTP Username: (from your web host email)

In some hosting accounts like HostMonster, the FTP Directory is left blank for AddOn Domains. For these hosting accounts, the FTP Directory is controlled by the username that was created when you added the AddOn Domain. top
