Hello all,

i was wondering how can i put all of my articles under 1 folder. to explain better:

Current situation:

health
site.com/health article1
site.com/health article2
.......
site.com/health article30

diet
site.com/diet article1
site.com/diet article2
....
site.com/diet article30

tips
site.com/tips article1
site.com/tips article2
.....
site.com/tips article30

IDEAL situation

site.com/articles/health/
site.com/articles/health/health article1
site.com/articles/health/health article2

site.com/articles/diet/
site.com/articles/diet/diet article1
site.com/articles/diet/diet article2

site.com/articles/tips/
site.com/articles/tips/tips article2

I tried silloing, but what it only changes the left panel.

Do i have to create a folder in /public_htm directory, for each category and upload each of the above articles to their folders?

Can what i ask be done with XSP

Hi, Poly,

Siloing will create the Articles directory for you, but not the Health, Diet or Tips directories. XSP also automatically adds an index.html file to the Articles folder. So you would get this:

Articles

site.com/articles/diet.html (parent file for Diet Articles)
site.com/articles/dietarticle1.html
site.com/articles/dietarticle2.html
site.com/articles/health.html (parent file for Health Articles)
site.com/articles/healtharticle1.html
site.com/articles/healtharticle2.html
site.com/articles/index.html

If you create the folders in your hosting account and upload the articles manually via an FTP program like Filezilla, you will have to upload this way every time.

Andrea thanks for your reply.

When i go to siloing, i am presented with two options,: directory and virtual.

When i used them in the past, it changed the layout of my left panel, which i want it to rmain as it is.

Moreover, do i go to ARTICLES and check all the boxes under that category?

Do i do the same for SERVICES? (like if you have HEALTH, WORKOUT, DIET, QUIT SMOKING)

I understand that i will get
sitename.com/articles/ article1-100(all diet, food, health (all together))
sitename.com/services/ (health, food, work out, quit smoking (all together))

Jowever, can i have that without loosing the layout of my left panel? and if yes how?

Thanks

Poly

Hi, Poly,

You'll need to choose another panel for your silo, if you want the Left Panel to remain as is. I usually choose the Right Panel for the silo.

One more thing,

Nothing, except never going online, will completely protect you from email spam, I'm afraid.
