Hello,

I was wondering if it's a good idea or not to link to someone else's website in exchange for a well-written article they write for my site. You know like include the link to their website where i list the credits for the article.

Or should i list there website in text form instead of as a link?

Or should i not ask for articles at all?

Thanks.

It depends on the article and on the page it links to.
(Personally I'd rather write guest posts for other sites, than accept them on my sites.
But I'm sure if someone took the time to do a great article, I would post it.)
If the article is well written and offers value to your visitors, then maybe.
You need to decide whether the page/site it links to is good enough.
Google has stated in the past that inbound links can't hurt your site (at least if you have a well established/old site).
Outbound links, however, can. So be carefull where you link to.
