Hello,

A day or two ago I created a new topic that asked a question about domain names. It was titled "When Keyword Rich Domains Run Out..." Now it's not in the general discussion forum anymore. Any ideas on what might have happened to it? Do you think a moderator might have accidentally deleted it?

I don't know why it's gone, but I would be interested in what you had to say there.

It was basically a question asking:

"What is best to do if all the keyword rich domain names for your niche have been taken? Should I come up with a more "out of the box" domain name, should i add words to a keyword rich domain name, or should i use .net instead of the .com i wanted?

Now that I think about the title i gave it, it sounds like i'm the one who is going to tell you what to do when keyword rich domains run out.

You have plenty of options before all the domains run out!

There are a few avenues to look at here.

take elvis.com, add one letter, or number to the end, like elvisd.com it may not look pretty, or read properly, but it carries SEO benefits.

Secondly, use .net, .org, they both carry the same SEO benefit, (but surfers still prefer .com)

Thirdly, Google allegedly gives the same love to .info, .biz, but again, surfers do not.

If all that fails, you could try another gTld, like .co.uk, .com.au
