How can I get a different design on the home page to the rest of the site, within the Xsitepro system?

Would it work to have multiple Xsitepro sites on a single domain?

(I know about the Custom Right Header, and also Tokens but I want to go beyond these with custom text on the Main Panel Header).

thanks,
Luke

Have you gone to your home page|Design|Advanced Settings|Ignore Page Layout Completely. This way you can do whatever design you want on the home page and the rest of the pages on the site will not be effected.

Yeah. I'm aware of that. I don't want to go that route as I have to put in html for the whole page. Also, I may need to change the site layout later on and this page would be broken out of that. I don't need a different design fully, just different text in the header area.

I've figured it will be possible to do this with a php, checking for the %FILENAME%.

Hi Luke,

Yes you will need to drop back to a PHP or Javascript solution if you want to go this route.
One option would be to add some text in the <head> section, and a code snippet to insert that code in to the header panel.

Another option would be to see if you can use the XSitePro Tokens.
You can see Matt's posting on Tokens here:
viewforum.php?f=3

You can change the Right Panel for a web page and still leave the rest of the page layout in tacked, but not the header of Info bars.
I have added a request to allow page by page override of the header panel to the requested features list already.
I will add your 'vote' to this request. :)

If I can be of any further help, do let me know.
Ben.
