Hio

Whenever I try to insert an image my xsitepro suddenly crashes and closes down which is incredibly frustrating.

I have had to try and add an image and then click save as quick as I can just before it crashes, then wait for it to restart and then add another image.

There is no time to add alt tags or anything.

I have had the program for a while without problems.

I don't have any other programs open just in case xsitepro is using up too much memory.

Is this a known bug?

Regards

Barry

Hi Barry,

I think this issue is on your system only, I have not heard of this before.

Are you running the latest update - 2.520?

Here is a link -

Hi Jason

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I am using the latest version and this is a new issue for me. I think I had better do a check on my computer to see what might be wrong.

Thanks for you help.

Barry

why does XSItePro not have a telephone number for customer support? I'm interested but won't buy this without being able to talk to a live person...especially when there's a 30 day money back guarantee. How do you get your money back with no customer service center? Just curious. Please advice if you know any info.My hard drive crashed and so it looks like I might not be able to restore Win XP. I'm wondering if any of you know if I can run XSitePro 2 on a Linux dist like Ubuntu? Thanks.

Hi Barry,

Thank you for your email.

We do not offer telephone support as this releases us to offer support through many other mediums like this forum.

As a Linux fan myself I have been trying to get XSitePro working with Wine ans installing .Net2.
No joy yet though. :(

The best solution so far has been to install a virtual machine environment, and install Windows inside that.
This does mean that you will need a windows license, but in your case you will have one already from your current installation.

I am waiting for everyone to get together to bash out the plan for XSitePro v3 soon.
As part on the spec I am pushing for v3 to be cross platform for the Apples and Linus users out there that want a decent web site developer too. :)

ps. don't hold your breath for XSitePro v3, it will be at least a year off, and that is if everything goes to plan!

If I can be of any further help, do let me know.
Ben.
