Hi all,

I decided to write this after working on website, writing some content.
Why can't I type as well on my laptop as I can on my PC? Probably something to do with the ergonomics of the keyboard. Or is that just an nexcuse?

Anyway, I keep making typos, so after a couple of minutes I like to do a spell check, but I keep reaching for the F7 key. Doh :!:

Am I the only one that keeps reaching for the F7 key to spell check?

I have set the poll to run for 10 days.

Bill.

Bill,

I'm not much of a F7 guy, I always forget and use the menu. Having said that my experience with the XSite Pro spell checker is pretty dismal. Even after runing it the identified mis-spellings are not corrected. I wonder what other people's experiences are with it. I think it needs to be fixed.

I suppose I'm just contrary, but whenever I use word I have F7 reset to be Heading 1. F8 is heading 2 etc.

I don't know why I started this but I've been doing it for years so, no - I don't reach for F7. Unless I want to do Heading 1 of course.

Interesting results so far.

No. I'm not a keyboard person. If I can't click it with a mouse, then it's too complicated :)

Hello all,

I'm new to the program, But.

I have noticed that on the first time spell check pops up saying that there is a spelling error. It highlights the suspect word, with a suggestion. Then if I press "Change" some times it will not change the word, but go to the next misspeled word. It seems random. Other spell checkers in Word, Dreamweaver, etc. don't seam to have this problem.

Maybe a bug, Maybe?

Just my 2ยข.

PS in looking this reply over, spell check here woud be good to have. . .

That's the same type of problem I have. They need to work on the spell checker in V2. It's simply too unreliable, as is my typing and spelling.

Ok, ok, it's just me then!

I'm the phantom F7 key striker.

It's a habit I have from using Word. I just thought it would be a good idea to have shortcut keys for simple tasks such as spell checking and saving etc.

I'm the world's worst at typos and poor spelling, so I find I'm hitting the F7 quite a lot.

When typing some text, moving your hand over to the mouse and clicking on an icon is a lot slower than keeping your hand on the keyboard and pressing another key to carry out some basic tasks.
