On this screen we can again make settings changes, using the controls left-of-screen while seeing the results of these changes in our preview area on the right side of the window.

There are a number of settings we can adjust here, for each of the following three textual elements in our form design:

Title Text

Body Text

Label text

We’ll go into a bit more detail about what these text elements are as we run through the different settings, below.

Title Text – The heading for our from – usually something that grabs the user’s attention on the page. Some possible headings might include:

Note: being the heading text, it is advised that you make this particular text bold, so that it stands out prominently.

Obviously you need to make this text specific to your particular proposition.

Body Text Font – The font in which you would like your body text displayed. Select the font from the drop-down selector.

Body Text Font Size – The size of font you would like your body text displaying in. To select your desired font size, choose a value from 6pt to 72ptfrom the drop-down list.

Body Text Color – Choose your body text color using the color-picker tool.

Body Text Alignment - Choose from the text alignment options to position your body text within the form. The options are:

Left

Right

Simply click the preferred alignment option and it will be applied to the body text.

Label Text:

The labels are immediately to the left of the text-input fields in the form. These are crucially important as they tell the visitor what to type into the input box in question. These labels should be short and concise, like the following examples:

You have three values to set here:

First Name Label text – the text appearing to the left of the First Name form field.

Last Name Label Text – the text appearing to the left of the Last Name form field.

Note: The above option is only available if there is a ‘Last Name’ field within your selected form template. The XMailPro, AWeber and GetResponse submission-types all use only two fields: Name and E-Mail. ListMailPro and E-Mail methods allow you to capture First name, Last name and E-Mail data.

E-Mail Label Text – the text appearing to the left of the E-Mail form field.

As a rule, the fields in the XSitePro forms are in the order: First name, Last name, E-mail. The labels should run accordingly, or else your form may not submit correctly.

There are then four label text settings (which will affect all of your form’s label text, uniformly).

Label Text Font – The font in which you would like your label text displayed. Select the font form the drop-down selector.

Label Text Font Size – The size of font you would like your label text displaying in. To select your desired font size, choose a value from  6pt to 72ptfrom the drop-down list.

Label Text Style – To make your label text bold, italic or underlined, click the appropriate buttons as described above. Again, it is a good idea to make these labels bold so that the visitor can see at a glance what they are supposed to be entering in each input box.

Label Text Color – Choose your label text color using the color-picker tool.

Having adjusted the settings for your form’s text elements, you may now click the button_application_next at the bottom of your screen. This will advance the Forms Wizard onto Step 5 of the form design process.
