The Exclusion list is a text file listing all of the words that you do not want to appear in the list even though their word count may actually be higher than the words in the list. If you do not have an exclusion list the top 20 list would always include very common words such as you and but. The search engines themselves use word exclusion lists so it is only sensible to make use of them in XSitePro.

The reason you have the power to edit the exclusion list is that there may be times when you want to include a common word in the list. For example, if you were producing a site that specialized in left-handed scissors you definitely wouldn't want to exclude the word left even though under normal circumstances that would be a word that you would probably have in your exclude list.
