Changing the size of a basic text box - XSitePro Website Design

When your basic text box is inserted it will default to being the full width of the page. Here's how to change the size.

 

1.

Position the cursor over the edge of the frame. It will change from a normal pointer into a resize pointer (circled in red in the image below).

2.

Once the cursor has changed to the resize pointer click once with your left mouse button and resize handles will appear on the left, right, top, bottom and four corners of the frame.

3.

Position your mouse cursor over any of the handles and the cursor will change to show you the direction in which you can stretch or shrink the text box.

4.

Click with your mouse on the handle, hold the mouse button down, and move it to stretch or shrink the text box. In the example below we have quickly reshaped our text box using one of the corner resize controls.
