This is where you can adjust the basic settings for how your feed will be displayed when it appears on your Web page.
Maximum Number of Items to Display – This can be as low as 1 and as high as you like. Obviously, if the number of items coming from that feed is limited, then the number of items displayed on your page may be lower than what you’ve set here. For example, if you set it to 100, but the feed source only sends out 10 items at a time, then only 10 items would display even though you’ve set this to 100.
Show All – If you check this box then all of the items coming from this feed will be displayed on your page. Unless you are very familiar with this feed and know roughly how many items they normally feed at a time then it is usually best to leave this unchecked and use the Maximum Number of Items to Display setting instead.
Open Links in a New Window - If you put a check in this box a new window will be opened if anyone clicks on a link in a feed. This is a great way of making sure that people stay on your site. If you leave this unchecked and someone clicks on a link in a feed then that page will be loaded within the same browser window.
Show Podcasting Links when Available – Some RSS Feeds provide links directly to podcasts. If you want these links to be displayed put a check in this box otherwise leave it unchecked.
