If you have ever studied neuro-linguistic programming you will be familiar with the concept that different people learn in different ways. Some people learn best through seeing, others through hearing, others through touch or doing, and others through a combination of all three.
If you want to add an extra dimension to any instructions on your Web site add a link to play an audio file and you’ll be surprised as to how many people click on it, even though the audio may only contain the exact same words as are already written on the page. The reason for this is that people who have a predisposition for learning by hearing will find themselves clicking on the button rather than reading the text – or doing both.
The instructions could be for anything from how to install products, fix errors, calibrate equipment, carryout diagnostics, etc. The list is endless.
